Rei Pilates was founded in 2014 by Reina Horowitz.
Reina, a former model, ballet dancer and accomplished photographer, has been involved with fitness and strength training for over 20 years. In addition, Reina is certified by Balanced Body in Pilates Reformer instruction and Lagree Fitness in Megaformer instruction. 
As a certified health coach and mother of 3 young children, Reina is also well versed in dietary and healthy eating habits which will benefit Rei Pilates' clients with their daily and weekly workout sessions.
Rei Pilates' will deliver a fun and energetic workout which will keep you motivated to be fit and healthy. Strength training thru a 50 minute private or group session will provide a balanced exercise experience that will strengthen muscles and tone your body.

After living in Melbourne, Australia for the past nine years, Kara has recently returned to her native New York with her family and three young children.  

Kara has a passion for all things health and wellness. She spent 15+ years in the corporate HR space and has more recently shifted her professional focus to wellness in the workplace, including Pilates. 

Kara received her certification in Pilates mat and reformer from Breathe Education, one of Australia’s top Pilates training programs, where she also earned her certifications in Fitness and Allied Health Assistance (2014). She is a certified Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (2014), and holds a BA and MA in Organizational Psychology. 

Her aim is to help busy individuals find their balance, through movement, exercise and healthier habits. As a certified health coach, she has experience teaching and coaching across the globe, and is now thrilled to be teaching at REI!!
